Justin Bailey is a Treatment Specialist who earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral/Addictions Counseling from
Drexel University in 2007. Prior to that, in 2005, he earned as
Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Harrisburg Area
Community College (HACC). Justin has been working with Clear
Concepts Counseling since March of 2009, working directly with clients
in both Mifflin County Correctional Facility and the Juniata County
Jail. Justin serves as a compassionate and empathic therapist,
providing quality care from a biopsychosocial perspective.
Stacey
Bell is the Administrative Assistant for the Mifflintown office.
She joined Clear Concepts in January of 2008. She assists our therapists
with the daily office responsibilities. She has worked in various Human
Service Fields for the past 15 years.
David Benton has earned
a B.S. in Psychology from Penn State University in 2007. He has
been with Clear Concepts Counseling since November 2008. David
serves on the SAP TEAM at Lewistown and Strodes Mills Middle School and
Lewistown & Indian Valley High School. He also performs Drug
and Alcohol counseling as well as preventive counseling for
students. In addition, David works closely with Project YES
implementers as a co-teacher in the 2nd Step (After School Program).
June
Bricker, M.S., came to Clear Concepts in October 2007 and is
assigned to the Mifflintown office.
She earned her Master’s degree from
Millersville
University
in clinical psychology, her Bachelor’s degree from
Penn
State
in human services, and has an Associate’s degree from
Harrisburg
Area
Community College
in business. June is a
Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a National Certified
Counselor. She comes to
Clear Concepts with a background in mental health which includes work
with children, adults, and families.
She has enjoyed working with clients of diverse backgrounds and a
broad range of mental health diagnoses and issues.
June is particularly interested in wholistic approaches to mental
and physical health and healing.
Marlin
Conner has worked in the addictions treatment field since 1993.
He carries a Masters Degree in Integrative Health Sciences as well as
certifications in Addiction Counseling, Auricular Therapy, Herbology,
Iridology, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and is nationally certified in Neuro
Linguistic Programming and internationally certified in Chinese Meridian
Therapy. He has worked at an inpatient rehabilitation center and
currently at outpatient and intensive outpatient levels with adolescents
and adults. Marlin is also a certified instructor for the World
Institute of Cognitive Sciences. His approach for treatment is the
integration of mind, body, and spirit.
Kimberly
Crone has worked in the community for many years in a variety of helping
professions. With degrees from Temple, Penn State, and Lock Haven
Universities, Kim works as a Licensed Social Worker for Clear Concepts
two evenings per week in addition to her full time employment in the
Mifflin County School District. She provides mental health
counseling to children, adolescents, and adults.
Kathy Crowover is the
Administrative Assistant for the Lewistown office. She joined
Clear Concepts in June of 2009 and assists our therapists with the daily
office responsibilities. Prior to joining our staff Kathy worked
in day care for 10 years followed by working in the Human Service field
for the past 14 1/2 years.
Karen
Goss began working full time with Clear Concepts in July 2007.
She provides therapy to individuals, facilitates adolescent groups, and
is involved in many prevention activities. Karen has a Bachelor of
Social Work from Shippensburg and a Master's Degree in Social Work from
Temple University. She is a Licensed Social Worker. Prior to
joining the staff at Clear Concepts, Karen worked as a juvenile
probation officer and in the field of child welfare for over 20 years.
Kathy
Heeter
is
Co-Owner and Director of Administration for Clear Concepts Counseling. She has been
the Bookkeeper since June 2000. As
such, she is responsible for handling all elements of accounts
receivable and accounts payable for all four Clear Concepts offices.
Kathy has many years of experience in the human services field having
been the Office Supervisor at Options for ten years.
Patti
Hutton is an Addictions Outpatient Therapist in the Lewistown
office. She has an
Undergraduate in Christian Education and a Masters in Counseling
Ministry from
Lincoln
Christian
College
and Seminary. Her experience
includes over twenty years in the school system, volunteer work with
youth/young adults, foster parenting, and group work with women who
experienced separation and divorce.
She will work with all ages and diverse groups to develop
life-long recovery plans.
David
King
is the
Project Director for all four offices. His
primary responsibilities involve clinical supervision, program
development and administration. He began his clinical career at an
inpatient drug and alcohol facility before joining Clear Concepts as an
outpatient addictions counselor in 1993. Dave's current clinical
interests are in working with adults and adolescents with substance
abuse problems as well as their families. He also works with
individuals experiencing difficulty with depression, anger, anxiety and
adjustment to disability issues. Dave is a Licensed Professional
Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) with a Master
of Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Pennsylvania
State University.
Nikki
Knepp received her Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University in
Individual and Family Studies. She has worked in Social Services
in Mifflin and Juniata Counties for 15 years. Nikki first worked
at Clear Concepts in the 1990's with the development of the Student
Assistance Program (SAP), Early Drug & Alcohol Prevention, and
Outpatient Therapy. She rejoined the staff at Clear Concepts in
2006 and currently works with the Student Assistance Program in Juniata
County.
Shelly
Krohn is the Facility Director for
all four offices. She is an outpatient therapist in our Lewistown office.
Shelly has provided counseling services to children, adolescents &
adults for the past 10 years. Her current clinical interests are
in working with individuals with eating disorders, mood disorders &
substance abuse problems. Shelly is a Licensed Professional
Counselor (LPC) with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Penn
State University and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from
Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Jill
Pecht is Co-Owner and
Director of Clinical Services for Clear Concepts Counseling. She received her Bachelors Degree from Point Park College in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While in college she was employed by Western
Psychiatric Institute and Clinic for five years where she worked with
dually diagnosed adults and adolescents as well as working on a
woman’s unit. Currently she is the Director of Programs for all
four Clear Concepts offices. Her responsibilities include monitoring all
aspects of these programs for Mifflin, Juniata County, Centre and Snyder
counties, as well as acting as a SAP liaison for the Mifflin County
School District. In her ten years with Clear Concepts, Jill has
been responsible for many prevention activities within the local
community and has collaborated with other agencies in developing and
implementing many programs. She has been a Certified Addictions
Counselor since 1999.
C.
Michael Pierce joined the staff of Clear Concepts Counseling in 1996.
He is a Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP)
working with incarcerated individuals at the Mifflin County Correctional
Facility. His position also entails maintaining an outpatient
caseload at the Lewistown office and teaching Multiple Offenders classes
through the Mifflin County Safe Driving School Program. Michael is
a member of the PA DUI Association, the Mifflin/Juniata Counties
Domestic Sexual Violence Task Force and co-facilitates the Mifflin
County Batterers Intervention Program.
Barbara Simcisko has
recently joined Clear Concepts Counseling at our Bellefonte office in
January 2009. She has a Bachelor degree in Social Work from Penn
State University and she is a certified Gestalt Pastoral Minister.
She has worked in the community holding different human service
positions for 14 years. She has been employed at the Meadows
Inpatient Dual Diagnosed facility and as an Outpatient drug and alcohol
counselor for Hope Haven and White Deer Run. She is conducting
individual and group therapy in our Centre County office. Her
primary focus is working with women and she is planning to gegin several
women's groups this spring.
Lyndie
Sipe is Co-Owner and Director of
Operations for Clear Concepts Counseling.
She
is also the Assistant Bookkeeper, Benefits Coordinator, and Collection Agent for all four offices. She has a
wide variety of responsibilities in her positions. She is a 1999
graduate of South Hills School of Business and Technology and has six
years experience in the administrative field.
Arlene Stephens
is the Administrative Assistant in the Bellefonte Office. Arlene
assists our therapists with basic office responsibilities relating to
the clients with whom she greets as they walk in the door. She has
worked in various office positions for the past 27 years. Arlene
has an Associate's Degree in Christian Education.
Kimberly
Young has worked for Clear Concepts Counseling for
five years and
prior
to that she worked for Hope Haven and White Deer Run Outpatient in the
Clinton County area. Kim completed the Chemical Dependency
Certificate Program at Penn State University in November 1995 and has
earned the Associate Addiction Counselor Level II certification.
She has 11 years of experience working in the chemical
dependency field and is working to earn her CAC. Kim facilitates
the Basic Education Group and also the Intensive Outpatient Program on
Monday nights. She works individually with drug and alcohol
clients as well.
