Q: I have been referred for a drug and alcohol evaluation - how long will I be in treatment? A: This will be dependent on the individual. Your counselor will do a comprehensive evaluation of your drug and/or alcohol issues and will then make a treatment recommendation which will be specific to you and your needs. This could range from simple drug and alcohol education all the way to inpatient rehabilitation.
Q: How long is a counseling session? A: Individual therapy sessions are usually one hour although they can be longer if needed. Group therapy sessions last one and a half hours and usually meet once a week. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) lasts three and a half hours and meets three times a week.
Q: How much does counseling cost? A: Charges are dependent on each individual. If you have health insurance or an ACCESS card, there is a good chance that your services could be covered through those plans. Additionally, if your resources are limited you may be eligible for a sliding scale which utilizes public funding. The best way to have this question answered is to call our offices. Clear Concepts will work with you to help prevent finances from becoming a roadblock to recovery. Please don't let finances stop you from asking for help.
Q: I thought Clear Concepts was just a drug and alcohol facility. Can you help me with other problems? A: Although we do specialize in the treatment of addictions, the clinical staff of Clear Concepts are all trained in the treatment of other disorders as well. When you set up an appointment at our office, every effort is made to match you with a therapist whose training and experience complements the problem areas you wish to work on.
Q: How can I tell if my child has a drug or alcohol problem? A: Look for changes in a child's usual behavior such as a sudden drop in grades, secretiveness, withdrawal from family life, lack of interest in usual activities and unexplainable or unusual moodiness. More obvious things to look for would be slurred speech or staggering, smell of alcohol or marijuana and weight loss. Our counselors would be willing to discuss such things with you.
Q: What if I have a problem that you can't help me with? A: Clear Concepts maintains close working relationships with the other human service providers in our communities. If it appears that we would be unable to help you, then we would help you in making arrangements with another provider more suited to your problems.
